Not
to be confused with "The End Girls", a parody of horror flagrant
currently doing the rounds of the festival, "Final Girl" is a peculiar
jumble of generic influences. The
title is a reference to the cliché slasher thriller in which a young
virginal heroine appears to be the only survivor of the massacre of a
killer, but this is more an exercise in terror of the last entry of a
sub-genre of action films including "Kill
Bill" and "Kick-Ass", "Sin City" and "Sucker Punch" and a number of
other photographs that have tried to bring his girl-with-a-sword
fetishes as a kind of feminist statement, with varying degrees of success. Prince
Adam's script betrays a sense of self-awareness without expression in
her first scene, which is quiet, William emotions (Bentley) hiring of a
silent, emotionless young orphan, Veronica (Gracyn Shinyei) to be his
next apprentice. Veronica seems completely unfazed by the recent death of his parents, it is enough to convince William has found his girl.

There
is something refreshing and something funny about how pointless cuts in
the "final girl" by the exhibition fat without wasting time on Veronica
and tragic stories of William fund immediately flashes forward 12
years. Veronica
(now played by a blond hair Breslin) is in an advanced stage of their
training under William, providing valuable lessons on how vague as to
withstand the elements, anticipating danger, and put a hostile aggressor
learns a deadly stranglehold. All
essential preparation for their final exams before the encounter four
young people that are attracting attractive young women in evening near
where we're going to hunt them and kill for sport forests. Self
serve as the last unsuspecting prey children, dressed in a red
sleeveless number to really pop a warning flag (the costumes were
designed by Mary Livingstone), Veronica is clearly in the minority. But with more than a few skills and secret weapons at your disposal,
it's no spoiler to suggest that he will find a way to the opportunities
and the score.
The long preparation for the massacre in which Veronica and boys compete for advantage in a game of "Truth or Dare" has a teasing ambiguity or predator-prey to the killers themselves are better defined than it should be;. Alexander Ludwig (also in "The End Girls "by the way), it makes a sufficient inexperienced leader, while a storm Logan Huffman acts as a lip smacking ax-wielding gang especially loose screws member. Breslin, whose recent work includes the upcoming Ryan Murphy show "Scream Queens" and the underrated thriller zombie "Maggie", seems to be enjoying his trip to the dark side, and she brings the right amount of discrete know (but never wink - wink ) attitude toward the role of a young fighter who remains recognizably human and fallible instead of becoming a robot killing machine. As for Bentley (a regular on "American Horror Story" Murphy), few right actors embody ominous sympathy, and he and Breslin hidden generate enough chemistry to be shared more screen time; their final scene together (in an old fashioned diner that, as one of the main attractions, the film gives an atmosphere of 50 years based dream) suggests untapped deep enough to provide follow what adventures. "Final Girl" can not, in the end, too much of a movie, but William and Veronica would be the worst option to embed an own series hardly.
