Freddie Stein Mark (Finn Wittrock) most want to play football. Considered
too small by the standards of regular sport, his father train hard, and
Freddie implies a struggle for the game that eventually beat him - none
other than the legendary coach of the University of Texas Darrell Royal
(Aaron Eckhart).
A
scholarship and the opportunity to play for the Longhorns, Freddie
begins to Austin with his mistress Linda high school girl (Sarah
Bolger), determined to make the team. Together
with his former teammate Bobby Mitchell (Rett Terrell) and new friend
James Street (Juston Street), get Freddie through the stages of a
grueling program of practice, but the camaraderie of the guys from the
field leads to solid play, and depth climb the charts, which give the Longhorns a real chance to put his losing record.
But
when they are enjoying the success of the season, Freddie suffer an
accident that leads to a shocking diagnosis and the greatest challenge
ever faced. The
